This innovative construction method features four key components: a substructure, an insulation layer, a crucial ventilation air gap (typically min. 50mm), and the external facade cladding.
The air gap allows humidity and moisture from the building structure to escape and drain, preventing condensation and damp issues.
The exterior cladding primarily provides wind, rain, and UV protection, supporting a vast array of finishes, including facade panels,
terracotta tiles, metal sheets, weatherboards (cement fibre, wood or composite), rendered cement boards or brick slips with backing boards for superior durability and design flexibility.
