Cellecta Insulation Systems
Cellecta Ltd is a leading UK innovator, manufacturer, and supplier of high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation products, catering extensively to the construction industry across new build and refurbishment projects. Their core expertise lies in providing cost-effective and compliant solutions that meet the demanding requirements of Approved Documents L (thermal) and E (acoustic) of the Building Regulations for England and Wales, as well as the corresponding Scottish standards.
Cellecta’s systems are primarily centred around three main application areas:
Acoustic Insulation: This is arguably their strongest specialism, with a comprehensive range of solutions for controlling both airborne and impact sound in separating floors and walls.
- Flagship Products: Includes the YELOfon range (high-density resilient layers for under screed applications) and DECKfon composite acoustic battens and overlay boards, which are often used to upgrade existing timber floors. Many of their acoustic floor systems are Robust Detail compliant, eliminating the need for pre-completion sound testing.
Thermal Insulation: They supply a variety of high-performance thermal insulation boards, such as the HEXATHERM range, which are typically made from extruded polystyrene (XPS). These boards offer high compressive strength, low water absorption, and excellent long-term thermal performance, making them ideal for challenging applications like inverted roofs, basements, and floors.
Underfloor Heating (UFH) Systems: Cellecta combines their thermal and acoustic expertise into UFH solutions designed for rapid heat response and efficiency.
- Key Products: The ScreedBoard is a high-density, interlocking dry screed replacement panel, and the Mojave system provides a quick, dry-laid solution that integrates both UFH and acoustic performance.
A significant characteristic of the Cellecta range is their commitment to sustainability. Many of their insulation products, particularly the high-density ScreedBoard and core insulation materials, are manufactured utilising recycled or recyclable materials, aligning with modern environmentally conscious construction practices in the UK.
