Knauf Aquapanel Q4 Finish - High Quality Skim Coat - 20 Kg

Knauf Aquapanel Q4 Finish is a high quality filling material for full-surface skim coating of joints by hand that gives highest quality Q4 standard. The final touch of plasterboard finish - level 4 - plaster skimming is a difficult art to master. Plaster skimming is a method of providing a smooth, seamless surface ready to receive decorative treatment. Knauf Aquapanel Q4 Finish can produce a fine finished surface up to Q4 standard. It is used on Aquapanel Interior and Exterior Cement Boards. It is an ideal base for smooth, glossy or finely textured wall coverings. Can be applied in humid areas but is not suitable for areas subjected to water spray.

Note: The coverage is approx. 1.7 kg/m2/mm coating depth. For example, 20kg covers approximately 11.76m2 if applied with a thickness of 1mm.

INSTALLATION

• Aquapanel Cement Board panels must be dry, clean and dust-free and fixed firmly on to a substructure,
• Use a clean mixing container and mixing tool,
• Add a small amount of water, if required,
• Used without reinforcing mesh as a skim coat on walls above tiles,
• The maximum coating depth is 2mm per application,
  
• Put 20 kg Aquapanel Joint Filler into approx. 6.8 l of cold, clean water and stir with the use of a 600 rpm stirring machine,
• Fill joints and screw heads, place Aquapanel Tape and press in with a trowel. Allow the previous coating to dry or harden before applying another coat if required.
