Marmox Showerlay Plinth is a strong, lightweight support base designed to raise baths, shower trays or other bathroom fixtures while providing a stable, waterproof and tile‑ready surface. Built from the same high‑performance Multiboard material, it offers a practical alternative to timber framing, making installation faster, cleaner and far more durable in wet environments. The plinth is a pre‑formed Marmox Multiboard element made from a high‑density XPS core with a polymer‑reinforced concrete coating and fibreglass mesh for strength. It creates a rigid, moisture‑resistant platform that can be tiled directly, allowing installers to build raised bath or shower bases without the risk of swelling, rotting or movement associated with timber. Because it integrates seamlessly with the wider Marmox system, the plinth provides a consistent, reliable foundation that matches the waterproofing and load‑bearing performance of other Multiboard components.
