125mm ISOVER Cavity Wall Slab (CWS) is a semi-rigid glass mineral wool insulation specifically designed for use in external masonry cavity walls. It is a highly versatile solution, suitable for both full-fill and partial-fill applications in new build residential and commercial projects. These slabs are flexible enough to absorb minor imperfections in the blockwork, ensuring a continuous thermal barrier without air gaps. Isover CWS is manufactured with a water-repellent binder to ensure that moisture does not track across the cavity to the inner leaf. Its fibrous structure not only provides excellent thermal resistance but also acts as an exceptional acoustic barrier, reducing the transmission of external noise into the building.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Helps to reduce heat loss within the building envelope and as a result decreases energy costs.
- Euroclass A1 non-combustible, it provides the highest level of fire safety. It is completely non-combustible and will not contribute to the spread of a fire within the cavity, making it a safe choice for buildings of any height.
- The semi-rigid nature of the slabs allows them to be knitted together at the joints. This ensures a tight friction fit against the inner leaf and between the slabs themselves, eliminating the thermal bridging often caused by gaps in rigid insulation.
- The slabs are treated with a silicone-based water repellent, which allows the wall to breathe while preventing water from penetrating the insulation, even in areas of high wind-driven rain.
- Manufactured from up to 82% recycled glass, Isover CWS is an environmentally responsible choice.
- Has Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold Certification - the highest accreditation for indoor air quality.
