35mm SOPRATHERM TB4000 PIR Insulation Board (previously Celotex) - 1200mm x 2400mm

35mm SOPRATHERM TB4000 is a high-performance, rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed specifically to eliminate thermal bridges. It is manufactured in very thin profiles, allowing it to fit into tight spaces such as window reveals, floor perimeters, and behind structural members where thicker insulation would not be practical. The TB range is specifically engineered to tackle the tricky junctions where heat loss is most likely to occur.

CHARACTERISTICS

• Ultra-Thin Profile: It allows for a continuous layer of insulation even in areas with severe space constraints.
• Thermal Bridge Reduction: Designed to provide continuity between different insulation elements (e.g., between wall and floor insulation), reducing the risk of cold spots and subsequent mould growth.
• High Efficiency: Despite its slimness, it retains the excellent thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, ensuring that even a thin layer provides a meaningful thermal barrier.
• Low-Emissivity Facings: Features aluminium foil facings on both sides, which enhance thermal performance in air cavities and act as an integrated vapour control layer.
• Lightweight and Rigid: It is easy to cut with a fine-toothed saw or a sharp knife, making it perfect for the intricate detailing required around windows and doors.

APPLICATION

• Window and Door Reveals: Lining the internal reveals of openings where there is limited space for thick insulation between the frame and the masonry.
• Floor Perimeters: Used as an upstand around the edge of floor insulation to prevent heat loss through the junction of the wall and floor.
• Between Rafters/Studs: Used as a thin "liner" over structural timbers to reduce the thermal bridging caused by the wood itself.
• Steel Work: Wrapping or lining steel beams and columns within the building envelope to provide a thermal break.
