50mm Kingspan OPTIM‑R Vacuum Insulation Panel - OPTIM‑R Roofing System is an ultra‑thin, high‑performance vacuum insulation solution designed for flat roofs where achieving very low U‑values is essential but build‑up height is severely restricted. The system uses vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) with an exceptional declared thermal conductivity of 0.007 W/mK, enabling thermal performance far beyond conventional rigid insulation boards.

VIPs are installed according to a project‑specific layout plan, ensuring panels are positioned only in safe zones (no fixings, no penetrations). Areas where VIPs cannot be placed - such as around outlets, upstands, rooflights, or service penetrations - are completed using Kingspan OPTIM‑R Infill Boards, a rigid phenolic insulation that maintains continuity of thermal performance across the roof. The result is a hybrid roofing insulation system that delivers maximum thermal efficiency with minimal thickness, ideal for refurbishments, heritage buildings, and new‑build projects with strict height limitations.
