Erfurt MAV Wallrock Thermal FR Adhesive - 5kg

Erfurt MAV Wallrock Thermal FR Adhesive is an extra strong adhesive with added flame retardant properties, to help protect combustible surfaces. It creates a permanent bond for Wallrock thermal linings, and also incorporates active fire retardants that assist with the dampening of flames. It also delays the onset of further combustion. The flame retardant additives are incorporated into two distinct mechanisms, each enhancing the effectiveness of the other. The first mechanism removes heat from the reaction in an endothermic process, while the second forms a thermal insulation barrier between the burning and unburnt components on the wall. This is accomplished by generating a protective char, which subsequently slows down the transfer of heat to the unburnt fuel.

CHARACTERISTICS

• High-performance aqueous adhesive with fillers and added fire retardants.
• Thick, smooth, low splatter formula:
  • Can be rolled or brushed straight from the tub.
• High 'wet-tack' to hold in place while cutting and positioning.
• High resin content for optimum adhesion to surfaces.
• Contains an inhibitor to prevent mould, yeast, and fungal growth.

INSTALLATION

• Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from loose paint, plaster, dust and mould.
• Drywall and other absorbent surfaces must be sized and left to dry completely.
• Sizing should be completed at least 4 hours prior to pasting and hanging.
• For Paste-The-Wall application:
  • Refer to the wallpaper manufacturer's label for specific instructions.
  • Ensure the wallpaper is suitable for Paste-The-Wall application.
• For best results, use a roller to apply Wallrock Power Adhesive generously and evenly to the wall:
  • Ensure complete coverage from floor to ceiling.
• A coverage rate of 1kg per 6m² is suitable for most products.
• Paste up to two widths of wallpaper at once to reduce decoration time.
  • Apply the paper to the pasted wall:
• Position the wallpaper sheet by sliding it into place.
• Smooth into the final position under pressure using a squeegee, wallpaper brush, or damp sponge.
• Complete hanging and trimming as normal.
