Karma Soundlay 15 Acoustic Overlay

Soundlay 15 Soundlay Plus Acoustic Overlay offers a high performance floor noise barrier reducing, both impact and airborne sound. It is ideal for developments where superior noise control is necessary. The high performance composite is a sandwich of two layers of dense acoustic barrier and an 8mm recycled acoustic chipfoam. This composite layer offers greater resistance to compression and creep allowing greater loads to be applied. It is primarily designed for timber floors, but can also be used in concrete floor constructions. It can be used in place of carpet underlay and with simple preparation also under laminates and vinyl.

For improving acoustic performance of timber floating and concrete floors and is suitable for renovation, retrofit and new build projects and can be applied to offices, hotels and residential units.

• Lay the sheets on the floor in a staggered pattern, placing tightly together.
• Can be laid loose or bonded to the floor.
• Ensure that the surface is clean, grease free and dry.
• Should be pushed up to the skirting board or wall, ensuring a tight fit to prevent flanking of airborne noise.
• When loose laid, the joints should be taped using High Tack Tape to prevent movement.
