Knauf Aquapanel Water Barrier is a high‑diffusion, water‑resistant and wind‑tight membrane installed directly behind Aquapanel Cement Board Outdoor to stop any moisture that passes behind the boards from entering the wall structure. It provides superior air and moisture management, forming the essential second water‑shedding layer in the Knauf façade system. Aquapanel Water Barrier is a multi‑layer polypropylene membrane engineered to be highly vapour‑open (sd ≈ 0.03 m) while remaining rainproof and wind‑tight. Installed as a continuous layer behind Aquapanel Cement Board Outdoor, it prevents water ingress, protects the wall structure, and supports long‑term façade durability.

It is suitable for lightweight steel‑frame, timber‑frame, and direct‑boarded exterior wall systems. It provides a reliable, vapour‑open yet water‑resistant protective layer, ensuring that Aquapanel façade systems perform as intended. Its durability, ease of installation and full Knauf system compatibility make it a standard component in modern exterior wall construction.
