100mm Rocksilk RS45 Universal Slabs are rock mineral wool slabs designed for use in multiple thermal and acoustic applications where density is critical. The standard product is supplied unfaced, but slabs can also be manufactured with a factory-applied foil or tissue facing and are available with a water repellent additive. These slabs are manufactured using Knauf Insulation's unique bio-based binder, ECOSE Technology.
APPLICATION
Rocksilk RS45 Universal Slabs are used for a wide range of thermal and acoustic insulation applications in buildings, building services, and industry. This product can be used for insulating:
- Internal partitions
- Between timber and metal studs
- Rafters and floor joists
CHARACTERISTICS
- Odorless, non-hygroscopic, rot-proof, do not sustain vermin, and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mold, or bacteria.
- Easy to handle and install, being lightweight and easy to cut to size.
- Vapor resistance of 7.00 MN.s/g.m.
- Classified as non-combustible to BS 476: Part 4: 1970 (1984) and Euroclass A1.
- Free from CFCs, HCFCs, and any other material with ozone depletion potential (ODP).
- Non-wicking.
