225mm Ancon ST1 Wall Tie low conductivity heavy duty stainless steel wall tie that meets the performance requirement of Approved Document E for use in external masonry walls. The enhanced bond makes it ideal for use in slow drying lime mortars. Wall ties should be pressed down in fresh mortar. They should be surrounded by mortar and they should be installed as the inner leaf is constructed and not simply pushed into a joint. Ideally, ties should be installed level or with a slight fall to the outer leaf. Ancon ST1, should be positioned centrally as a drip will normally be near the centre of the open section of a partial fill cavity. This tie can be used at any height.
