25mm Isover Acoustic Partition Roll (APR 1200)

25mm Isover Acoustic partition roll (APR 1200) is a high-performance glass mineral wool insulation specifically engineered for sound insulation in internal partitions, floors, and ceilings. It is the silent partner to the British Gypsum GypWall systems, providing the essential mass and absorption required to meet or exceed Building Regulations Part E. APR 1200 is a flexible, lightweight glass mineral wool roll designed for ease of installation and superior acoustic control. Because it is manufactured to be resilient and slightly oversized, it friction-fits perfectly between metal or timber studs, ensuring there are no air gaps for sound to leak through.

CHARACTERISTICS

• The primary role of APR 1200 is to absorb sound energy within the wall cavity. It significantly reduces the resonance and vibration of the partition, helping to achieve the high decibel ratings required for hotels, cinemas, and modern residential developments.
• Euroclass A1 Non-Combustible is the highest possible fire safety rating. Being mineral-based, the roll will not burn or contribute to a fire, making it a critical safety specification for multi-storey buildings.
• The rolls are specifically sized (usually 600mm wide) to suit standard UK stud centres. Their natural resilience means they stay in place without the need for additional fixings or adhesives during the construction process.
• Manufactured from up to 82% recycled glass, APR 1200 has a very low environmental impact. It is also Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and Zero Global Warming Potential (GWP).
• While primarily an acoustic product, it also provides a thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK, helping to maintain temperature consistency between rooms
• SpecSure Warranty guaranteed lifetime performance when used in British Gypsum systems.

APPLICATION

APR 1200 is the recommended insulation for the SpecSure lifetime warranty when used within British Gypsum partitioning.

• GypWall Classic: Adding APR 1200 to a standard partition can increase its sound insulation by up to 10dB, which is a massive perceived difference to the human ear.
• Twin Frame Systems: In GypWall Twin Frame Audio or Independent systems, the insulation fills the large central cavity to prevent the drum effect that can occur in large, hollow wall structures.
