6mm Marmox Multiboard Waterproof Insulation Board is a highly versatile, BBA-certified construction board designed for a multitude of applications, combining superior water resistance, thermal insulation, and structural strength. Manufactured from XPS (extruded polystyrene) foam, which is then reinforced with a polymer cement mortar coating and fibreglass mesh for stability and strength. The XPS core provides effective thermal insulation with a conductivity of 0.034 W/mK. Boards 10mm and above are excellent for insulating walls, floors, and ceilings to reduce heat transfer and improve energy efficiency. Thinner boards (4mm and 6mm) still offer thermal benefits, especially when used with underfloor heating systems to minimise running costs.

The Multiboard is completely impermeable to water, making it an ideal choice for use in moisture-prone areas like kitchens, bathrooms, wetrooms, and even swimming pools. It serves as a reliable waterproof tile backer board. The unique, patented surface is robust, providing an effective decoupling membrane to prevent tiles and grout from cracking due to horizontal movement in the subfloor. It allows for the secure fixing of heavy tiles to walls. The boards are lightweight and easy to cut with minimal dust. They can be tiled, plastered, or rendered, and are certified for both internal and external use, including exterior cladding.
