Filcor 120 - Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Structural Fill Material

Filcor 120 EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is used as a lightweight structural fill alternative to more traditional fill materials or as a lightweight void former in structural concrete. It can be used up to 4800mm thick of 25kN/m3 concrete above it.

Note:  Filcor EPS sheet can be ordered to the required thickness, from 25mm to 1200mm.

• Lightweight and easy to handle,
• Can be ordered to thicknesses from 25mm to 1200mm,
• Easy to cut and be profiled,
• Provides a high degree of insulation,
• Fire retardant version available,
• Up to 200mm thickness, sheets are supplied wrapped in a protective polythene cover. 

• Filcor EPS sheets or blocks should be weighted down or secured, due to the relatively light nature of the product,
  
• Filcor EPS should be positioned on a firm level surface, with joints between individual sheets/blocks, staggered where possible,
• If the depth of Filcor EPS required exceeds the maximum individual sheet/block depth of 1200mm, then further layers can be added to achieve the total depth required. It is suggested that each layer is installed perpendicular to the previous one in order to distribute load as equally as possible,
• Can be carried out using a fine toothed saw, or alternatively a hot wire cutter.

Filcor complies with both BS EN 13163:2008 and BS EN 14933:2007
