This batten is manufactured from superior quality timber, which provides robust structural support. Integrated onto its underside is a highly resilient acoustic layer, specifically Hushfelt. This combination ensures long-lasting support for floating timber or chipboard floors by effectively decoupling them from the structural sub-floor. The resilient Hushfelt layer absorbs impact energy from footfall and other sources, preventing direct transmission of vibrations into the building's structure. By creating a controlled service void, Hush-Batten 70 allows for the discreet routing of pipes, cables, and other utilities, while its primary function as an acoustic isolator ensures enhanced sound insulation.
