Knauf Sockel Gigamit Render Basecoat is a polymer-modified lime‑cement exterior base coat render specifically formulated for plinth areas, splash‑zones and other high‑stress façade sections exposed to increased moisture, impact and weathering. Designed for mineral substrates, Sockel Gigamit provides a robust, water‑resistant and mechanically strong undercoat ideal for the lower façade zone where durability is critical.

Its optimised lime‑cement composition delivers excellent adhesion, enhanced compressive strength and improved resistance to moisture, making it suitable for medium‑heavy masonry and other mineral backgrounds. Sockel Gigamit can be sponge‑finished or prepared as a scraped‑finish base, forming a stable, uniform substrate for Knauf mineral top coats and decorative façade renders. As part of Knauf’s integrated façade system, Sockel Gigamit ensures reliable long‑term performance when combined with Knauf primers, reinforcing meshes and finishing plasters.

Consumption:

• 10mm coat thickness: 11.1 kg/m2
