PlastiClad Aluminium Bottom Drip Trim AL/BD/86 is a high-specification base profile designed to provide a secure and weathertight termination for the bottom edge of external façade panels (typically 5mm to 9mm in thickness). It is installed at the lowest point of a cladding run to ensure that rainwater is shed effectively away from the building's damp-proof course (DPC) and foundation.
This trim is extruded from high-grade aluminium and is distinguished by the manufacturer’s rigorous finishing process:
- Made from 6063 - T6 Aluminium.
- Unlike many standard trims on the market, Plasticlad ensures a high quality and durable finish by applying a polyester powder coating to all its aluminium profiles and fixings. This process provides a tougher, longer-lasting surface than standard paint or anodising, offering exceptional resistance to scratching, fading, and chemical degradation.
- The trim provides a precise internal channel that comfortably accepts panels ranging from 5mm up to 9mm. This channel supports the weight of the bottom row of panels while protecting the vulnerable bottom cut edge from moisture and impact.
- Available in 28 RAL colours.
- All stock powders are 80 – 85% gloss value also known as full gloss.
