PlastiClad Aluminium Top Drip Trim AL/AD/6/11 is a precision-engineered horizontal profile designed specifically to cap and protect the upper horizontal edges of external façade panels. It is compatible with a wide range of panel thicknesses, typically from 5mm to 12mm, providing a robust weather-seal and a clean architectural finish at the top of a cladding run.
This trim is extruded from high-grade aluminium and is distinguished by the manufacturer’s rigorous finishing process:
- Made from 6063 - T6 Aluminium.
- Unlike many standard trims on the market, Plasticlad ensures a high quality and durable finish by applying a polyester powder coating to all its aluminium profiles and fixings. This process provides a tougher, longer-lasting surface than standard paint or anodising, offering exceptional resistance to scratching, fading, and chemical degradation.
- The profile features a prominent projecting front lip. This "drip" function is critical; it ensures that rainwater running down the building's upper surfaces is intercepted and shed clear of the panel face and the ventilation cavity behind.
- Available in 28 RAL colours.
- All stock powders are 80 – 85% gloss value also known as full gloss.
