PlastiClad Aluminium Bay Corner AL/99/25 is a specialist extruded trim designed specifically to resolve complex angles in lapped weatherboard cladding systems, most commonly found at the corners of bay windows where the angle is 135º. The Bay Corner features stepped recesses or channels on both sides, engineered to receive and encapsulate the cut ends of the lapped weatherboard planks. The centre axis, however, is set at the required bay angle, ensuring the planks sit flush and follow the architectural line of the building.
This trim is extruded from high-grade aluminium and is distinguished by the manufacturer’s rigorous finishing process:
- Made from 1050 Aluminium.
- Unlike many standard trims on the market, Plasticlad ensures a high quality and durable finish by applying a polyester powder coating to all its aluminium profiles and fixings. This process provides a tougher, longer-lasting surface than standard paint or anodising, offering exceptional resistance to scratching, fading, and chemical degradation.
- The rigidity of the aluminium Bay Corner provides a stable, fixed line against which the weatherboard planks can be screwed, ensuring the cladding structure remains true and resists movement.
- Available in 28 RAL colours.
