PlastiClad Aluminium Edge Trim AL/725 (often referred to as a J-trim or End Profile) is a versatile finishing accessory designed for lapped weatherboard cladding systems. Its primary role is to provide a neat, protective, and decorative "stop-end" wherever the weatherboard planks terminate. It is typically utilised at the end of a cladding run, such as where the boards meet a door frame, a window reveal, or the edge of a building facade where a corner trim is not required.
This trim is extruded from high-grade aluminium and is distinguished by the manufacturer’s rigorous finishing process:
- Made from 1050 Aluminium.
- Unlike many standard trims on the market, Plasticlad ensures a high quality and durable finish by applying a polyester powder coating to all its aluminium profiles and fixings. This process provides a tougher, longer-lasting surface than standard paint or anodising, offering exceptional resistance to scratching, fading, and chemical degradation.
- The trim features a slim, channel-like profile. One side of the channel provides a fixing flange that is secured to the timber battens, while the visible "return" side creates a clean, finished edge that hides the raw, cut end of the weatherboard plank.
- Available in 28 RAL colours.
- All stock powders are 80 – 85% gloss value also known as full gloss.
