Powerbase VOC Internal Corner – Prefabricated Gas Barrier Corner Unit - 125mm × 125mm × 125mm

Powerbase VOC Internal Corners are prefabricated, three-dimensional membrane cloak units designed to provide continuous, gas-tight seals at internal and external 90-degree junction details. Manufactured by Industrial Textiles & Plastics (ITP) from the same advanced multilayer chemical barrier material as the Powerbase VOC main sheet membrane, these pre-formed corners eliminate the need for complex hand-cutting and site fabrication in critical, hard-to-seal structural geometry.

They provide vital protection against volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hydrocarbons, methane, carbon dioxide, and radon gas on brownfield development sites.

CHARACTERISTICS

• Corner junctions are traditionally the most prone to installation errors and air/gas leakage. Factory-formed units ensure consistent, uniform protection without reliance on complex manual site folds.
• Produced directly from Powerbase VOC composite material, ensuring identical resistance to heavy metals, hydrocarbons, and aggressive ground gases across the entire building envelope.
• Significantly accelerates membrane installation around internal floor-to-wall step-downs, external wall corners, stanchion bases, and lift pits.
• Designed for seamless jointing with the main Powerbase VOC barrier using standard hot-air welding equipment, hot-wedge welders, or high-tack Powerbond self-adhesive jointing tapes.
• Supports compliance with BS 8485:2015+A1:2019 (Code of practice for the design of protective measures for methane and carbon dioxide in affected developments) and CIRIA C735 quality assurance guidelines.
