12mm Euroform Versaroc MPA1 Fibre Cement Sheathing Board is a high-performance, non-combustible multi-purpose building board specifically engineered as a robust and reliable external sheathing for various frame constructions, including steel frame and timber frame structures. INSTALLATION

• Versaroc MPA1 boards can typically be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientation.
• Always install the boards in a staggered pattern.
• Avoid creating four-way joints where four board corners meet at one point, as this can lead to stress concentrations and cracking.
• Stagger joints by at least 600mm.
• Use corrosion-resistant, self-drilling, self-tapping screws specifically designed for fibre cement boards and suitable for the framing material.
• Ensure the screw head is of a size appropriate to the board thickness and creates a flush or slightly countersunk finish.
• Screws should penetrate the steel frame by at least 10mm or the timber frame by at least 25mm.
• Screws should be placed no closer than 15mm from the edge of the board.
• The first fixing from any corner (horizontal or vertical edge) should be at least 40mm in from the corner.
• Fixings should be applied along all four edges of each board at approximately 150mm to 200mm centres.
• Fixings in the central area of the board (on intermediate studs) are typically spaced at 300mm to 600mm centres, depending on the design loads and frame spacing.
• For critical or highly loaded areas, increased fixing density might be required.
• Ensure screws are driven flush with or slightly countersunk into the board surface.
• Avoid over-tightening, which can damage the board.
• Leave a minimum 3mm to 5mm gap at all board joints to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction and prevents stress build-up.
• All board joints and internal/external corners must be taped with a compatible, high-performance jointing tape embedded in a thin layer of a compatible jointing compound or adhesive.
• Leave a minimum 3mm to 5mm gap at all board joints (between adjacent boards and at corners). This accommodates thermal expansion and contraction and prevents stress build-up.
• Once the Versaroc MPA1 is installed and joints are treated, the chosen external facade system can be applied according to its specific manufacturer's instructions.

CERIFICATION

• Class A1 Non-Combustible according to BS EN 13501-1:2018.
• Conformity assessed to BS EN 12467:2012+A2:2018 - Fibre-cement flat sheets - Product specification and test methods.
• Highly moisture tolerant and has achieved category A performance to EN12467:2012 + A2:2018
• UKCA Marked.
