Pack Quantity: 200
70mm Profigips Plastic Panel Fixings with Plug (often called Hammer-in Fixings) consist of a high-grade plastic sleeve with a wide circular head and a corresponding expansion pin (the plug). Unlike metal fixings, these are designed to prevent cold bridging, ensuring that heat is not conducted through the fixing from the warm interior to the cold exterior. They are designed specifically to secure rigid insulation boards such as polystyrene or mineral wool thermal insulation to a solid masonry substrate.
CHARACTERISTICS
- The wide plate or head of the fixing (typically 60 mm) provides a large surface area to hold the insulation board securely against the wall without pulling through the material.
- Being made entirely of high-impact polypropylene or nylon, these fixings do not create a thermal bridge. This is critical for maintaining the overall U-value of the insulation system.
- The sleeve features a split end that expands when the pin is driven in, providing a high-strength mechanical grip within the masonry (brick, block, or concrete).
- The top of the fixing head is often textured or perforated to provide a key for the basecoat render to bond to, ensuring there are no smooth spots that could cause the render to crack or delaminate.
APPLICATION
- External Wall Insulation (EWI): The primary mechanical secondary fixing for PIR, Phenolic, or EPS boards attached to masonry.
- Internal Wall Insulation (IWI): Securing insulation boards to internal masonry walls before drylining.
- Ceiling and Soffit Insulation: Fixing rigid boards to the underside of concrete floor slabs.
INSTALLATION
- Always drill the hole at least 10 mm deeper than the length of the fixing to allow for any dust or debris that remains in the hole.
- For standard 1200mm x 600mm boards, this usually equates to 5 or 6 fixings per square metre, though high-wind areas may require more.
- The head of the fixing should be driven flush with the surface of the insulation board. If it is driven too deep, it can crush the core; if it is too proud, it will create a bump in the final render.
- For large-scale or commercial projects, it is standard practice to perform pull-out tests on the specific masonry of the building to confirm the load-bearing capacity of the fixings.

Model: 15mm - 3m length
Delivery Time: 1 - 2 days
15mm Profigips PVC Bellcast Bead (also known as a Drip Bead or Render Stop) is a critical component for any external rendering project. Its primary purpose is to ensure that rainwater running down the face of the building is directed away from the wall at the lowest point of the render, preventing m..

Model: 22x22mm - 2m length
Delivery Time: 1 - 2 days
22x22mm Profigips Aluminium Corner Bead is designed to reinforce external corners, providing a straight edge that protects the vulnerable plasterboard junction from impact and chipping. Because it is so rigid yet thin, it allows for a very low-profile finish that is easily blended into the wall surf..
