72.5mm SOPRATHERM PL4060 is an insulated plasterboard consists of a high-performance 60mm polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board factory-bonded to a 12.5mm tapered-edge gypsum plasterboard. It is designed to be fixed internally to walls and ceilings, providing an immediate thermal upgrade and a surface ready for decoration. This is the insulated plasterboard (laminate) is the fast-track solution for internal drylining and thermal upgrades.

CHARACTERISTICS

• By combining insulation and plasterboard into one sheet, it reduces the number of installation steps. This is particularly beneficial for internal wall insulation projects and loft conversions.
• The plasterboard face has tapered edges, allowing for seamless jointing and skimming. This ensures a smooth, professional finish for painting or wallpapering.
• The foil backing on the PIR insulation, combined with the bonding process, acts as a high-performance vapour control layer. This helps to reduce the risk of interstitial condensation within the wall structure.
• Because PIR has such a low thermal conductivity, you can achieve significant thermal improvements with a relatively thin board, which is vital for maintaining internal room dimensions.
• It is suitable for a variety of installation methods, including dot and dab (adhesive bonding) and mechanical fixing to timber or metal frames.
