Ceresit CT42 Acrylic Paint
Ceresit CT42 Acrylic Paint is used for protecting facades, concrete constructions and interiors. It can be applied on concrete, cement plasters, lime-cement plasters and lime plasters. This paint can be used for painting Ceresit CT 35, CT 36 and CT 137 mineral plasters, Ceresit CT 60, CT 63, CT 64 acrylic plasters applied on traditional substrates and within Ceresit ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems) with the application of EPS-boards. The facades covered with the paint Ceresit CT 42 can be washed with appliances operating under low pressure. The exposure of the facade to the sun causes harmful stress, therefore dark colours should be used only on small areas, for example on architectural details.
The paint Ceresit CT42 may be applied on clean, dry and smooth surfaces free from any substances that decrease adhesion such as grease, bitumen, dust, on concrete aged over 28 days, on traditional cement plasters, lime-cement plasters and lime plasters aged over 14 days, on mineral and mineral-polymer plasters aged over 7 days, on acrylic plasters aged over 3 days, on gypsum substrates, on gypsum cardboards, gypsum-fibre boards primed before with Ceresit CT 17 primer.

Before Ceresit CT 42 paint application, the content of the container should be carefully stirred by means of the drill with a mixer for about 2 minutes. Usually it is sufficient to paint twice. Between the application of the subsequent layers the 4 - 6 hour technological breaks should be maintained. The paint should be applied by means of a brush, roller or a sprinkling device. It is important to apply the paint evenly. It is possible to add not more than 10% of water, if such a need arises. Use only stainless containers and tools. Work on one surface should be carried on without any breaks using the paint of the same badge number (printed on each packaging) or the content of containers with different badge numbers should be mixed together. The area not to be painted, such as windows, doors should be protected with foil. Bushes, other plants, etc. should be protected as well. Any stains should be immediately rinsed with water. Tools should be washed carefully with water directly after being used. Application should be performed in dry conditions with the ambient and substrate temperature ranging from +5 to +25 C and the humidity below 80 %. All the data refer to the temperature of +20 C and relative humidity of 60 %. The drying of the paint depends on atmospheric conditions.
Ceresit CT 42 paint may cause decolouration impossible to be removed on glass, ceramic, wooden, metal and stone surfaces, therefore all the elements in contact with the paint should be protected. Protective gloves and glasses should be worn while applying the paint to protect skin and eyes. Stains should be carefully rinsed with water. In case of contact with eyes, they should be rinsed with water and the general practitioner should be consulted. This product should be stored out of reach of children.
