Knauf Putzgrund is a ready‑to‑use, pigmented undercoat primer designed to prepare mineral substrates and base coats prior to applying thin‑coat renders. It regulates absorbency, improves adhesion and ensures uniform drying behaviour across the façade, creating a stable and consistent surface for silicone‑resin, silicate and mineral top‑coat renders.

The formulation contains high‑quality fillers and polymer binders that enhance substrate grip while maintaining vapour permeability. Its white pigmentation provides improved opacity and can be tinted to approximate the final render colour, helping to minimise visible shade differences and ensuring a harmonious façade finish.
