Plastestrip L-Rail for Intermediate Panel Supports - FIX/ANG/HD/60/40 - 3m length

Plastestrip L-Rail is a high-strength, extruded aluminium profile used as a vertical support member in rainscreen cladding sub-frames. Its primary function is to provide additional points of contact behind a cladding panel, ensuring the facade remains rigid and resistant to wind pressure without the need for the wider face provided by a T-Rail. The L-Rails (and T-Rails) are universal components used across both the FastFrame and ThermaFrame systems.

CHARACTERISTICS

• 40mm face, 60mm leg.
• Made from high specification 6063 T6 grade aluminium.
• While T-Rails are used at the junctions where two panels meet, the L-Rail is designed to support the "field" or centre of the cladding panel.
• L-Rails are positioned between the T-Rails to reduce the "span" of the cladding panel. This prevents the panels from bowing or vibrating under wind loads, ensuring the long-term flat appearance of the facade.
• The leg of the L-Rail allows for significant "telescopic" adjustment within the helping-hand bracket. This makes it easy for installers to "plumb up" the rails, creating a perfectly vertical surface even if the structural wall behind is out of alignment.
